Lemberg-Pedersen points out that the hazarduous and life-threatening conditions of boatrefugees is not likely to motivate European politicians to change their policy fundamentally, as many of them are facing upcoming or pending elections. Lemberg-Pedersen also comments on the plans to intervene militarily in Libya, and the EU summit on April 23rd.
