Arabic in Danish schools? (in Danish)
AMIS affiliate Martha Sif Karrebæk comments in Berlingske that: It is dangerous if Arabic is being made into a language that symbolizes opposition to everything considered Danish. It is important to recognize that there is no direct link between a language and social problems, and no problem will be solved by denying Arabic a legitimate presence in schools.
The comment is a reaction to Jalal El Derbas recent Pd.D. dissertation, that indicates that some use Arabic as a means of harassment and bulling.
