Application procedure
If you wish to apply for external funding for a research project or a PhD project to be housed at AMIS, please contact AMIS director Marie Sandberg (sandberg@hum.ku.dk) and Saxo Research Support (saxosupport@hum.ku.dk) in due time before the internal deadlines announced by the Saxo Research Support. Please forward a project outline (1-2 pages) stating the planned period of the project as well as a plan for staffing (if relevant), together with your CV and a letter stating why AMIS is the relevant place for your project to be hosted.

If you are interested in applying for an instrument or a foundation, which is not announced on the Saxo Institute website, please contact AMIS director Marie Sandberg (sandberg@hum.ku.dk) and Saxo Research Support (saxosupport@hum.ku.dk), in due time before the foundation’s deadline.
Pursuing a PhD with AMIS
If you would like to pursue a PhD scholarship hosted at AMIS, we are advising you to contact a relevant supervisor and forward a project outline (1-2 pages) stating the planned period of the project, together with your CV and Exam papers with grades.

Please note that there are only 2 scholarships available a year for all applicants to the Saxo Institute.

- Independent Research Fund Denmark (DFF) Non-University Research Education: Project hosted at a public non-university research institution. The PhD student is enrolled at UCPH with academic supervision based at AMIS/Saxo. See the call for proposals - Independent research (pdf).
- Innovation Fund Denmark: Industrial PhD in the private sector. The candidate is employed in a private company and enrolled at UCPH with academic supervision based at AMIS/Saxo. Innovation Fund Denmark: Industrial PhD in the public sector. The candidate is employed in a public organization enrolled at UCPH with academic supervision based at AMIS/Saxo.
